Me and my gf, Carla (30 and 29 years old), are taking a break from our professional career (physician) to pursue interests in other fields. We will be travelling and working around NZ in the incoming spring-summer season 2024-2025.
I have a passion for cooking and, during my early adulthood, I worked in various roles in restaurants and bars. Additionally, I am enthusiastic about sports, particularly whitewater kayaking, which I have been practicing for 2 years. This makes me a Class III kayaker, certified in whitewater rescue.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Martin : In 2016, I backpacked around South America for six months. I hit up places like northern Chile, northern Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Brazil. While I was there, I worked as a waiter, bartender, and did some juggling on the side.

Carla: In 2023, I traveled for five months through Central America as a backpacker and volunteer in different hostels. I helped out at hotels, volunteered on permaculture farms, and did some diving too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We’re fun-loving people who enjoy having a good time. We love sports, so we’re up for joining in on whatever you want to do. That said, we’re super respectful of the hosts’ routines and needs, and we’re happy to help out with daily chores and keeping things organized around the house.
