About Me
Hi there! I’m Martín (30) an Argentinian who has just finished traveling around Asia for 8 months after spending two years living in Australia.
Im currently on Cianciana, Sicily, Italy doing the paperwork to get my Italian citizenship along with two friends with whom we rented a big house and now we find ourselves with extra space and tough why not offer it to travelers!
I have used couch surfing plenty times in my travels and now o feel it’s time to give back some of that great energy and experiences I gathered by using this awesome system.
Please make sure you let us know as much as possible about you, your reasons to come and what you are looking for when you send a request. I am aware that it’s always easier to do copy and paste messages but it’s always better to personalize it a little bit.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing has always been a key idea when I decided to take on this adventure because it’s an awesome way to meet locals and get an inside point of view about life in each destination and, as I found early on my travels, it’s so rewarding to share moments with people that are born of a pure hearth with nothing but good intentions of sharing, that makes for the most rewarding and lasting feeling I can have in this adventure. Those moments shared with “strangers “ that quickly become friends are always something unique that i will forever treasure.
Interests
I’m big on sports and i can enjoy most of them ( i‘m sorry Cricket fans)
I’m specially keen on combat sports such as boxing but I just like to watch since I probably wouldn’t punch a shark even if it was bitting me.
Apart from that I like watching series and maybe a movie from time to time. I’m on a life long quest to learn how to play the guitar and the bass although I struggle to find the will to get me trough the theory and not just jump on YouTube and learn a song o like just by repetition.
Above all I’m interested in talking with people and trying to be a bit more open minded every day, to open up to different points of views on different subjects specially while traveling.
Another big reason for me to be here is to keep practicing my English and, if possible, learn some Italian.

Music, Movies, and Books
My top three artists in no specific order would be Bob Marley, The Doors and Pink Floyd. Other than that, i love music in general but Jazz for me stands above all other genders. The improvisation makes every song, unique regardless how many times its played. When it comes to books, i love the ones that build something in me. As a former Psychology student, i love to read psychology related books or philosophy and I try to read as much as I can from the great minds that have stepped on this earth although sadly the last couple of years I have been very inconsistent with my reading.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving! I would recommend it to anyone! Looking forward to doing it again!
Traveling for 8 months around 12 Asian countries.
Living two years in Australia doing heaps of different jobs and meeting great people ( and a couple of a**holes that left me with a few good stories)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Besides from Spanish lessons and my stories, i feel there’s not much to offer other than sharing good moments, getting to know each other and just letting everything flow and surely having a great time together!
