About Me
Hey guys,
I'm a generally open minded and interested person. Be it the music I make or the different philosophies I'm trying to explore, I just like getting intellectual input. So whoever out there is eager to broaden his horizon together with me - be my guest.
Currently, I’m studying Philosophy, English and Psychology in Vienna. I also play in two bands: Sara Brandy & The Jims; Fritsch & The Jims. Accordingly, whenever I’m not reading a book I make music with the people I love the most. Can’t get any better than this.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It’s a pretty simple reason: CS just encapsulates the true spirit of traveling. It’s not about the photos you take or the sights you see but about the experiences and friendships you make.
Sharing something as intimate as one’s home or couch is nothing that should be underestimated in terms of trust endowed into the other person! Therefore, I think that it’s just immensely important to find out whether or not the person you’re contacting actually suits you own personality. So, please, if you are asking to stay on my couch, copy paste the following so I know you’ve actually read through my profile: “For everything begins with consciousness and nothing is worth anything except through it” - Albert Camus

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite music has to be everything from Parliament to Vulfpeck. Basically any kind of groove based music is just what I'm looking for. Of course the Blues can't be forgotten, for that's where I come from. Starting out in the Blues I gradually explored everything I could from Classic Rock to Funk and even Hip Hop.
An excerpt of my favorite bands qnd musicians: Snarky Puppy, Vulfpeck, Charlie Hunter, John Mayer Trio, Khruangbin, Cory Henry, Mark Lettieri, Bill Withers, Led Zeppelin (!), Pink Floyd, Mother’s Cake (great Austrian Band, gotta check them out!)
Favorite movies have to be The Dark Knight Trilogy by Chris Nolan, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Forrest Gump.
Favourite book is a little harder. I'd say first of all The Great Gatsby. Right after that, everything by Ray Bradbury. Of course, Fahrenheit and Something Wicked but I particularly like his short story collections like The Illustrated Man and The Martian Chronicles. Another one of my favorites is The Lord of the Flies! Such a great piece of literature.
Here are some other books I like: The Catcher in the Rye, Lucky Jim, Stoner, A Clockwork Orange, When I Was Five I Killed Myself, Brave New World, 1984, Animal Farm, The Wave, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, The Hitchhiker’s Guide.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The greatest experiences I've made so far are connected to my bands.
We've explored a good deal of Austria through our music and have had intensely funny moments throughout. We played at a private party of one of the richest Austrians once. After having enjoyed various delicate meals and wines, we slept by the lake in our sleeping bags. Gotta cherish these moments.
Teach, Learn, Share
I really think that one can best explore the world through the people that inhabit it. Accordingly, what I enjoy the most whenever I’m traveling is just talking to and conversing with new people. Given that we all are individual representations of the accumulated experiences we had in our lives thus far, everybody has something unique to say. That in itself is worth exploring and I’m looking forward to learning about how you perceive the world and what it is exactly that makes you unique.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can definitely share my room, maybe some food, probably some cigarettes and hopefully my time.
