Overview
About Me
Friendly, fun and currently building an ArtFarm with all the querks! Could you help me please? House Painting, murals, art, garden, small building work in exchange for food, board, and scenic tours. This place is Awesome as is Port Fairy, the beaches are 'take your pick' you have surf, swim, fishing, a reefed calm (normally) beach busy and less busy! Tower Hill National park up the road, and Port Fairy voted the Worlds most liveable community 2012 It,s no wonder this town is a resort.
ABOUT ME.
I love hosting people, and totally engage art and playing piano. I am dyslexic and have ADD, however I live life to the full on my little 'Artie Farm-house' and enjoy the company of 'nice' people.
Could I please share with you a lovely letter written by 2 guests who are Kate and Dave, the 'last guests' of the 'old' Art Farm, Millicent 2014.
Dear Martin,
As we sit in the caravan the sun is setting, the air is still, the birds are finding their roosts and that glorious, unforgettable smell of dry, Australian farmland grasses, ripe for harvest, fills the air.
In the last 3 hours you have mesmerized Dave and I in your all – encompassing world of art; from the minute to the expansive, from outdoors to indoors, from music to windmills, from rusty old trucks to sharp photography.
Your heart glows with color, your passion plays out through you fingers that produce music fit for concert halls. Your hands, your smile, even your shoes speak to me of a man turned inside out and upside down with 'penes (?) ' that ooze creativity.
We are wide eyed like Children to have been allowed to peak into your life and we wish you success and happiness in Port Fairy.
Your kind generosity reaches us as we now prepare for a night in your caravan, complete with an attention to detail that includes the provision of this pen and paper.
We hope our paths cross again. Dave and Kate.
PHILOSOPHY
1. When you have stopped traveling the planet, the planet can visit you. Oh, and its a lot cheaper too!
2. Welcome as many people as you can for life's too short
3. Do what you truly love to do, for you will do an awesome job doing of it.
4. Its no good wanting your life all over again from the armchair of a retirement home.
5. If we all welcomed the world, starting with our own front door, almost all the worlds problems would vanish.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I beleive I created the worlds first computer virus. I worked for IBM in 1982, and during a 3 'day' nightshift did crerate a virus. I did not run it but offered it to my manager as a 'consern'. Too right he was conserned so he sacked me for having long hair.
For the Geeks, The computer was the IBM 3750 Switching system, IBM,s in-house world wide satilite comms system of the day.
Teach, Learn, Share
Take time to enjoy life, which by the way, does not have to be at a 1.000.000 miles an hour ..... SLOW DOWN!, you will see much more.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A mind blowing wonderful time, live piano music, art, creation, maybe a tour of the place, a rest, a time to a breath, a break from your holiday. The references speak for them selves.
A time that you wont forget in what i'm told is on of the best couch-surfing places for miles.
