Grew up bicultural Polish/German, hence like Vodka and Beer ;-)

Was always very into sports (apparatus gymnastics, mountain biking, Judo and everything else). If this attention disorder ADHD would have been diagnosed in the 80ies - I definetly had it. But I mellowed down a bit and since a while I also discovered how read a book and enjoy other pleasures of life apart from sports. So I started to live in and visit other countries and actually began to enjoy to just chat to people and exchange ideas about life and the world.

Still love a good outdoor experience and some action though ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I knew of it for long but well.....haven't signed up here it for a good while though.

But here you go, now I've tried it and I honestly think it's absolutely brilliant. It enhances the travel experiences and is a good to get know real people other than other tourists.
As the whole idea is based on trust, it also reconfirms my believe that there are many peaceful, friendly and generous people out there.
And it does work, so far I have only made beautiful experiences and met fantastic people. So I keep on going !

Interests

I love a good chat with friends family or any other person about life and the values of it. Recently started to get more into philosphy and try to understand or to feel why we do what we do and what really matters.
I'm quite an enthusiastic Judo player and usually play Judo were I can around the world. I personally think the Judo style someone practices reflects his/her character so i find it's a very good way to get to know people.
I love to spend some good day in the mountains or some evenings around a fire.

Related to my Job also I made it to a mission to find out what eating "healthily" actually really is these days ?

Music : quite into movie soundtracks, M83, Explosions in the Sky and other relaxed or emotional instrumental music.

Movies: don't laugh but I absolutely love Rocky (the first two), Searching for Sugar Man, A Prophet

Books: tuesdays with morrie, Way of the peaceful warrior, The art of happiniess, why we get fat, the power of one......

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

....amazing eh... ? I don't know; went from Vienna to the Danube Delta by push-bike and shared a small tent with my dad ??
