About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To couchsurf around Gothenburg for charity.
ABOUT ME
My name's Martin and I'm 22. I grew up in Glasgow in Scotland, before moving down to York in England. I study civil engineering at Newcastle University, but I am currently living in Gothenburg on an Erasmus exchange.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Pretty new to this, but I would be happy to show people around and after my exams host people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In May I gave up my flat and gave the money I would have paid in rent to charity, so I'm pretty used to staying on people's sofas!
Interests
I love being thrown into new and interesting situations. Travelling is the obvious starter here, as it gives you the chance to experience different cultures and mix with a variety of people. I regularly go rock climbing and I also enjoy a range of other outdoor activities including kayaking and hiking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There have been many times I've been left awestruck when travelling. Some moments that I will never forget include experiencing an electrical storm when trekking up in the mountains in Kashmir, watching the sun rise over Kilimanjaro as I climbed it's smaller brother Mount Meru and the peace and calm of the Golden Temple in Amritsar.
