About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My very immediate mission is to guide foreign people around my city. My less urgent mission is to travel around the world.

ABOUT ME

Who am I? Well, for that you have to check opinions of the other people somewhere around here. I can guarantee half of it is true, and the second half are my negative features no one will write there. :)

PHILOSOPHY

Simply live and let live (everything except of mosqitos, these guys just must die), but not in that great spiritual way. It just happens that liberalism, freedom of will and peaceful deeds are my preferred philosophy for the world, although my own personality is quite conservative. It is a bit complicated, we can talk about this face to face. But I hope you will be not that much interested. :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm hosting people and being hosted (although the second one is more in evidence lately) for some years now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A lot of fun and many memories, that's the story of my experience.

Interests

Travelling and getting to know the world is my passion, but I also do like hiking, mountains and nature in general. I can literally spend hours observing the habitat of your backyard pond. :D In addition to the travelling part, I also collect the postcards of the places I visited.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen, I watch, I read. Sometimes. I talk. Often.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Lived one year in amazing city of Sarajevo and together with my roommate hosted about 100 people in three months and 13 people in one night. The best time of my life.
- Spent some interesting moments with a mama bear and her cubs inside a small fenced area.
- Visited Crimea (twice) before Russia decided to do the same.
- Hitchhiked for two years around South America. Ahora mi corazón es el de un latino.
- Have seen the driest place on Earth, full of flowers.
- Navigated the Amazon River and stayed for a couple of days in the rainforest.
- Have seen the clearest night skies while walking inkognito for 20 km towards the unforgettable Perito Moreno Glacier.
- Walked to the southernmost point of the American continent while being on the most difficult trek of my life.
- Climbed the highest peak of Venezuela (5000 m) in the mist without any guide, map or climbing equipment.
- Sneaked into Machu Picchu, something considered almost impossible to do.
- Walked into the desert in Oman and slept under the stars, surrounded by sand dunes.
- Planted rice and snorkeled with the whale sharks in the Philippines.
- Travelled for 6 hours sitting on the roof of a truck.
- Delivered a speech during a government party reunion in East Timor.
- Slept in a bed with a two-meters-long python in Brunei.
- Bought Land Cruiser and travelled the desert roads of Australian Outback for three weeks.
- Worked one winter season as a ski lift operator in Canada.
- Jumped off the 7 meters tall cliffs both into the water and into the snow (on skis).
- Took part in the First Nations Pow Wow on the largest freshwater island in the world.
- Spent Día de muertos festivities with the locals of the Janitzio island in the Mexican state of Michoacán (Coco style - sort of).
- Have seen millions of monarch butterflies in one place.
- Walked 820 kilometers in 30 days from one end of Slovakia to the other.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the mysteries of vagabond style travelling. I will try to learn whatever you will try to teach me.
