About Me
Grown up in a small town in the most Western part of Germany just beside the border with the Netherlands and after few adventures outside the country, I can proudly call myself "a Kölsche Jung".
If you ask me to describe who I am, I'd considers myself as an open minded person with a broad range of interests. I will do my best to introduce others to my country and city, and to German beer of course;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The main reason I am on couchsurfing is to get to know new people both in my city and in those places I travel to. I like the idea of sharing common interests, stories and have a good laugh together.
In the past, I've had very positive experiences in meeting locals all over the world, whether it was for rather extensive meetings or simply grabbing a coffee/beer and a short chat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Paid a good amount of money and signed cryptic papers just to get out of Belarus. Spent a whole evening singing ballades with a North-Korean waitress. Felt the overwhelming atmosphere of an Argentinian football match. Slept on a mattress under the stars in the Jordanian desert. Got lost numerous times during the Carnaval in Recife.
Teach, Learn, Share
You better don't expect Germany to be just as illustrated in certain viral "50 Things you didn't know about.." articles, I can't help to satisfy the typical stereotypes. I will not serve you sausages for breakfast nor ask you for full schedule of your planned activities and check with a stopwatch if you are late or on time. And sorry to say, but we (myself and my friends) are not "cold people". The only thing you might find to be cold are the nasty winter weather and - hopefully - the Kölsch beer:)
I can give you many advices and ideas for visit-worthy places all over the region, country, world, etc. and share my experiences of how I travelled or lived abroad in foreign countries. If there's enough time, I can certainly teach you some German language.
Unfortunately, I am not a good chef, but there's a handful of dishes which mostly turn out well, I guarantee you will not completely starve if you happen to be my guest.
