关于我

CURRENT MISSION

To get the most out of every moment of my life.

ABOUT ME

Who am I? Jeez, these questions are all so difficult.

Let's see, I work as an engineer; but that's not who I am, more what I do.
I live in the Oslo area of Norway, but that doesn't really say much either.

Well, first thing that comes into my mind is that I smile a lot, that's gotta be good for something, right?
I like traveling...and meeting people...
I especially like meeting people that don't take life too serious. That kind of always kills my mood.
What more...?
I like unconventional things. You know, stuff that aren't done the normal way. Doesn't really matter WHAT it is, as long as it's not the same as the other guy in the street does.
Unless it can't work any other way, then it's kinda stupid to talk about originality.

I like idealism, and I try to live my life according to some principles, although for me those principles are mainly rooted in my feeling of righteousness.
In other words:
Every being in the whole universe knows the difference between right and wrong, so you see; there is no good people or bad people. There is only the people that choose to listen to intuition and the ones that don't.

Well, there are probably a couple of people that also "forget" where the difference lies.
Point is: I like idealism when it comes from real-life people.
That political idealism you see in politicians is called political correctness, that's something else.
And again, those people take life way to serious.

So, let's see: I do, I live, I smile, and I like. I value.
Have I said who ME is yet?
NO. And I really can't phantom how to, it'd be like describing how a star looks on the inside, to use a metaphor even vaguely resembling the difficulty of the question: "Who are you?".

So to describe myself, I would say look at my picture.
To tell you who I am, I would have to ask you first, and in order for you to tell me we would have to spend time together. Not just meet in the doorway, but meet. First impressions always lie.

What can I tell you?
Well, I smile a lot, or at least try to smile over all the good things in life.
I think a lot about world problems, although doing so really doesn't help me, my day or solving the problems. But I care, and that's important.
I work as a power engineer in renewable energy to help cure humanity of this disease called oil dependence, although I know life would be more difficult without it. I don't know if I want to say that I like it difficult, but the idealistic me feels that in the case of energy; we would have been better of waiting with the industrial age a hundred years or so until we could start society on a green branch.
I like nature, and I like admiring nature for all it is. But I also like cities, especially the really urban ones with old houses, narrow streets and all of that picturesque.
Moreover, I resent violence and every form of it. Although play fight, pillow fight, snowball fight and every other type of fight that is basically harmless is ok (even the ones where someone almost went blind because the snowball went into the eye. All that seriousness; kids play - stuff happens!).
Ooh, I like technical things. Doesn't matter what almost, as long as it has some movable parts, it's my favorite thing.
I like old stuff, mostly because they all look more aesthetic and real.
Everything today is supposed to look as neutral as a knife, I hate it.
I like vinyl(music), if you ask me, there is no quality better than analog.
Mp3's are cool and handy, but it's still approximations of something far cooler.
And even copies of an analog record is still closer to the real thing than digital stuff, it follows the nature of quantization!

For the moment, I think that is all that I manage as my creativity just left my cranial cavity.
But, the good news is: if you have any questions, you can send me a message and I'll try to get back to you as fast as I can.

And as for who I am: I'm me.

PHILOSOPHY

Think positive!
Don't use energy to complain about things you can't change. And if you can change them, the do so!
Always do to others, as you would like them to do to you. Be generous to everyone, to give is always most rewarding to the giver. Follow your intuition, cause it is usually right. Speak your mind - it fosters understanding between cultures. And remember, be good!

Travelled the silk road from Istanbul, Turkey to Xi'an, China.
The trip was done mostly by land and endured some six months.
Never will travelling or my perspective on life be the same again.
