Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Martina, an Argentinian student and single mom. I moved to the US to study my second career (architecture) after Covid. Now living in Valencia.
I love to meet new people and help travelers on a budget.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a student my budget is tight, but I also prefer to live the local experience instead of a hotel. I used to use Airbnb but it turned into something I don’t like: just millionaires with lots of properties gentrifying neighborhoods and making rent higher

Music, Movies, and Books
I like indie, folk, vaporwave music, like most millennials
Indie movies as well but I can definitely enjoy a blockbuster comedy
I read a lot of sociology, philosophy, and politics, but every once in a while I go back to literature
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being a mom is definitely on my top 3, especially in a foreign country, and my son is such an amazing teenage boy, he’s creative, clever and witty.
Studying a career in a second language is so fun and rewarding, it made me feel invincible
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach and learn new dishes from around the world, cooking is such an important and enjoyable part of my day, I can’t believe so many people don’t cook.
I love to learn in general, and I’ve been told I’m good at teaching.
I know bookbinding and it saved my life in many occasions, both selling my notebooks and teaching how to make them
What I Can Share with Hosts
