About Me

Actually in Erasmus in Rennes!! :)
I study "medicine and surgery" in Florence and did erasmus last year in Lisbon. Before that I spent 4 months working in Ireland for "Dublin citysighseeing" company. I love travelling, meeting new friends..."the more different we are, the more we can exchange!" is my motto!! I've often been called "social butterfly": I'm fascinated by the life stories of those I encounter, and language is hardly ever a barrier...Indeed, I can speak 5 languages (Italian, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese), and have a basic conversation in Korean!! I am very self-motivated, organised and autonomous in my work and also enthusiastic, accurate and thoughtful in the approach to my studies. Thanks to my natural extroversion and empathy, I connect with new cultures on a truly human level...I'm really curious and attracted by the unknown, I like keeping informed on what is going on in other countries and I always try to read different newspaper on the web to get different opinions and points of view of the same event. I felt in love with Philosophy years ago and it taught me that everything is in development and there's not a unique truth, but we can built it collecting different thoughts and reflections...I think that integration is the image of an healthy and open-minded society. Accepting "The other" means to be aware of respective differences and potentialities and respect them. When a group of people is insecure, it tries to discriminate the others, to obstacolate them, to show them weaker in order to strengthen itself. But when a society is conscious of its strengts and weaknesses, it can look objectively to the others and collaborate with them, in order to improve both. I see Europe as a great opportunity to show that integration, of people and not only of trade, is possible and it could also affect positively our world, making it more equal and inclusive. Europe should engage with the multifaceted dimensions of integration to create a better society, devoid of discrimination, stereotype and xenophobia. In my opinion, meeting people of different countries and sharing experiences, thoughts and feeling is always important to grow up, to get better as a person and to push yourself to do more.
