About Me

Hello there! I'm Martina, I study Foreign Languages and Literature at the University of Trieste.
I'm in Germany as Erasmus student for the Winter semester 2019/2020; during this time I hope I'll be able to travel the whole nation (apart from studying of course!). I'm not good on describing myself, I hope you'll understand that. In brief: I'm mostly an introvert but once I get to know someone I become way too much talkative. I'd ask my friends for references but I'm pretty sure they'll say I'm a pain in the neck even though they love me.

«To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other and to feel. That is the purpose of life.»
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet new people from all over the world, and mostly cause I'm a broke student (as every student is, right?) and it's a nice way to get to know someone new and save some money (at least I'm honest).
I haven't used Couchsurfing yet 'cause University is keeping me busy but I hope to travel soon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I cooked by myself and I didn't burn down the house.
Just joking; I've never burned one single dish, but I can't really tell if I did something extraordinary.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn as much I can from other people. Everyone has always something to share: that is a story, a concept, an ideal, or more concretely a couch, a different way to cook the same meal – everything that can change, if not completely, at least just a bit the other one. And that's why meeting new cultures can make us understand better the others and ourselves.
I consider myself an arsehole but in the deep I know there's something good in me, in the world and in other people, I just need to convince myself more.
And after sharing this thought I hope something clicked inside you and made you different from what you where five minutes ago.
