About Me

I'm an Italian Law student at the University of Bologna. I had always thought I wanted to be a judge so I would "get justice". Only lately have I realised that's not necessarily how it works. I still seek justice - but I figured out I have to travel a bit further to find it. And that's exactly what I'm planning on doing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to travel all the time and get to know new places and new people. Unfortunately, financial resources are not endless and I have to take care of my academic career - so if I can't always travel to people and pleaces, I guess I can bring people and places to me sometimes!

Interests

First thing that comes to my mind is music, which I will talk about below. I love singing, I've been singing in a choir for many years now. There is nothing I enjoy as much as listening to good songs, going to good concerts, singing with someone else who shares my passion.

I love learning foreign languages. I'm very much interested in foreign linguistics, expressions, comparisons, literature.

I'm also interested in international law and foreign politics. And for those who know what that means, I'm a new-born MUNer!

I would list human and women rights within my interests, although I classify those as something more than just that. It's more like something I believe everyone should be concerned about more than we normally are.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC

It goes without saying that The Beatles are my absolute favourite band and I'm in love with Paul McCartney so badly.
Then I like many others. To list but a few: Aerosmith, Al Jarreau, Alt-J, Billy Joel, Coldplay, Corran Raa, David Bowie, Deep Purple, Ella Fitzgerald, Elvis Presley, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Jack Johnson, Jamie Cullum, Janis Joplin, Jeff Healey, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Lucio Battisti, Marvin Gaye, Michael Bublé, Mina, Mumford & Sons, Pink Floyd, Queen, Raphael Gualazzi, Seal, Simon & Garfunkel, Sting, Stromae, The Who...

I also love vocal groups such as King's Singers, Swingle Singers, Take Six, Naturally 7, VocaPeople.
And I love musicals as well (Jesus Christ Superstar above all).

If you have any suggestions about music from your country (it's very useful to learn foreign languages) please feel free to let me know!

MOVIES

I don't know much about movies, although they fascinate me and I'd love to know more about them.
Some films I liked that I can think of right now are: The Lives of Others (Das Leben der Anderen), Anonymous, Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited, Moonrise Kingdom and The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Theory of Everything, Apocalypse Now...

BOOKS

First of all, as all kids grown old, I'm a Harry Potter fan.
Then, as before, I will list some of the books that occur to me at the moment, well knowing that I'm surely omitting others: Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, The Trial by Franz Kafka, Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, The Stranger and The Plague by Albert Camus, Doctor Faustus by Thomas Mann, Doctor Faustus by Christopher Marlowe, The Innocence of Father Brown by G. K. Chesterton...

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH

I can show you around town and tell you all about the seven secrets of Bologna. I can teach Italian as well.

LEARN

I'd love to improve my German and my French. Also Spanish could be good (I try to learn bits and pieces of it by listening to songs sometimes). More broadly, I'd like to get to know other people and their culture.

SHARE

We could sing and play together!
