About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Becoming an expert in my field. Getting to know Beijing better than my hometown.
Start making this world a better place.
Go back to writing.
Focus more on self-care.

ABOUT ME

Being working in Beijing for the past 4 years + I've been a student in Hangzhou for 2 and a half years. I "tried" to live in China for the first time in 2008 and yes - still here after all.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live.
I don't want the rest of the world to treat me badly. So, I don't treat them badly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been couchsurfing only in China. Huge apartment, with only one girl living there. Met few other backpackers there, it has been nice sharing our experiences and trip suggestions. I think I met one of the girl again, somewhere in Southern China!

Once I'll have my own place, I'll be able to start hosting travelers!

Interests

Reading. Movies. TV series. Cooking (vegan, of course). Chinese language. Travelling

Music, Movies, and Books

Fell in love with Wes Anderson recently. Got a list of all the Studio Ghibli's movies you should not miss.
But my favorite movie will be "Forrest Gump" for ever and ever.

I read quite a lot. Tiziano Terzani, Murakami and Isabel Allende always on my bookshelf, wherever I am.

Music: indie, alternative, britpop. But then the older I get the more nostalgic about Italian 60s, 70s, 80s music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept in a monastery, on the floor, in Burma. And a few days after that, I saw a zebra running on the shore. Still don't know where that came from.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been teaching English while living in China, while helping middle school students in my hometown in Italy with every kinds of subjects, from French to Maths, from History to Italian grammar. I love to teach. Or, maybe, I love to make tests!

Need to improve my Chinese, mainly on the formal level.

I like to cook, vegan food, but with a touch of Italy, a bit of China, some spices.. I love fusion, that's it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with my hosts my experiences in China, info about Italy, why I'm vegan.. lots of interesting things!
