Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 1978, when Internet and Couch-surfing were still sci-fi not even dreamed of, I was on my way from London to Manchester by train and had just found out that my friend,I wanted to visit was not available as host.
I'd be arriving at Manchester, in the middle of the night, with no place to go to.

I told a young couple about my plight, and they spontaniously gave me their phonenumber, and offered accomodation in case I coulnd't reach any other of my friends.
For me, that is essence of couchsurfing.
And on different ocassions I almost always found someone helpful, when I needed help !

And now, after having had my first couchsurfing experience, I can only say, it was all I could wish for...a lovely host and her amible friend , and on top a wonderful co-surfer, who all made every minute worthwhile and a pleasure.
Couchsurfing is about so much more than having a pillow to sleep on.

Interests

I love readin...especially fantasy and scifi.Everything that is creative .
I'm a member of a heavy metal club and go to concerts and festivals.
And I love my profession

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What leaves me awestruck, are mostly not the places or the events I see or attend, but all those different kind of people, that are now dear friends, giving colour and richness to my live.
Fun was me hiding in a locker in US-army barracks in Baumholder while wearing a long evening-gown.
An adventure my first Metal-festival last year "Bang your head" in Balingen
