CURRENT MISSION

To improve my Spanish and explore more of the world by going to South America later in 2017. I'll be going to Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going, open and relaxed sort if person, and I love meeting people from all over the world. Mostly I'm interested in getting to know indigenous communities and learning more about customs and cultures which are vastly different to what I know.
I am a student of Anthropology, Development Studies and Spanish at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand and would ultimately like to work in the development field, preferably with refugee and migrant communities in NZ or indigenous community based projects in Latin America.
I really enjoy the outdoors and absolutely love going tramping (hiking) as well rock climbing (which I'm not very good at :P) and I strongly believe in a sustainable way of living that doesn't hurt the planet.

PHILOSOPHY

A open attitude will bring positive, sustainable changes as well as show a completely different world.

I will travel to South America in July of 2017 and there I would like to stay with some locals so that I can see some different sides of their city/country. Locals have the best and most valuable knowledge and I'd like to tap into that, as well as this being a way to practice Spanish :P

兴趣

Being active, travelling (obviously), learning about other languages and cultures and leading a fun filled life. I love rock climbing (but I'm a bit average at it)and tramping in the outdoors, there's so much stuff to see!

Music: lots of stuff but I'd say genre is singer songwriter stuff. Some artists would be the cliched John Mayer but also stuff like John Butler trio, Bob Dylan, and then more random stuff like Postmodern Jukebox, Candy Dulfer (jazz/blues) and motown kinda stuff..

Books: true stories, memoirs, but also crime fiction like Girl with the Dragon Tatoo. One of my favourite authors is Khaled Hosseini (Kite Runner and a Thousand Splendid Suns)
