Two notes before you continue:
• I know most of my hosting references are really old, but as of December 2025 I’m back in the hosting game :))
• I prefer requests that are not sent very far in advance, as I don’t like to plan too far ahead. The sweet spot for me is one week to two days before your planned arrival. With that said, I’m not all that dogmatic about it and you might get accepted even if you’re sending me a request slightly earlier than that (but earlier than two weeks ahead if definitely too far).

I’m Martin! I grew up in the Swedish country side, and that’s where I spent the first 19 years of my life. After that, I spent 6ish years working odd jobs abroad and traveling around (two of these years were spent living in Norway, and the rest bumming around the rest of the world with my backpack). When I turned 25, I started studying at Malmö University, but I also spent some time at University of Macau. Since 2020 I work as a teacher - traveling when I can, but not as much as I want.

I don't live my life after a Lonely Planet - I do some occasional sight-seeing, but what I'm really interested in is normal everyday life of people in different places worldwide.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve hosted a fair bit, surfed a fair bit and been to a handful of meet-ups. Almost all has been brilliant.
