About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Organizing my gap year :3

ABOUT ME

Well, I'm a student in social science from Montreal who really likes to meet new people, laughs a lot (it's sometimes hard to stop me), plays piano, really enjoys travelling, works at a part time job doing sandwich in a grocery store to allow me to travel (and hang out in cool places, preferably), like to be with my friends, sharing every experience that needs to be shared with some friends.... That list could be long..... People say I'm funny...... I guess im normal in fact and I try to make the best out of every moment (doesn't that sound cheesy?). I'm really dreamy and I like to get lost in my thoughts.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think I can resume my ''philosophy'' here since my points of view are really nuanced. I really like to have philosophic conversations, it makes me realize at what point we are nothing and everything at the same time. I think life itself is crazy and I really like to express what I think of it in words, even though it's sooooo hard sometimes (especially in english hehe).

Everything you know isn't everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will eventually (when i'll have my own apartment) host people, but for now im surfing and i think couchsurfing is a really good way to discover foreign cultures/countries.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had only one couchsurfing experience but it was sincerely awesome, better than what I expected, I now recommend it to anyone telling me they will travel soon! I cannot wait to surf again during my gap year from august 2015 to June 2016, then to host.

Interests

Different cultures, music, interesting/deep/funny talks, going out, learning anything. I'm really interrested in languages, i think i should've studied languages more than social sciences. I'm also reallllly interested in people, I really like to just admire different things in people around me and notice the little details making them special.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : Im in someways dependent of music, I think it can enhance every moment and I listen to it every time when i can. I listen to almost everything as long as its melodic enough.

The Cure, David Bowie, Allah-las, Animal Collective, Beirut, The doors, Foxygen, Diane Coffee, Duran Duran, Empire of the Sun, La Femme, Grimes, Indochine, Jacco Gardner, Beach House, Jean Leloup, The Knife, Mac Demarco,The Mamas & The Papas, Metronomy, MGMT, of Montreal, Pierre Lapointe, Pink Floyd, The Smiths, Thieves like Us, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Velvet Underground, The Virgins, Warpaint, Louise Attaque, Tame Impala The Zombies are some highlights.

Movies : I don't really listen to many movies, i'm alway distracted by something in-between the beginning and the end and most of the time I don't finish them hihihi but i think that the aesthetic of the other decades (20's to 80's) are soooo interesting to look for in a movie.

Books : I'm not such a big reader, but when I do read a book I really like to analyse every detail and try to find any part of truth in them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing camping with the bedoins in the white desert in Egypt
Seeing the lunar eclipse in Cadiz with one friend from Montréal

I can share any experience I had with anybody interested in it, I can also teach my knowledge of the Quebec culture i grew up in and my musical skills, my biggest work in progress. Social sciences are also something that passionate me more and more, and I really like to share my opinions on politics and sociology with others, it's always source of passions.
