About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm an overly extravagant person who loves doing something new every day. I have random interests in every topic, I sometimes make impulsive decisions, I don't let social boundaries or fear or lame excuses stop me from something I really want. I love people who challenge stereotypes without trying. Every bad experience will eventually turn into a good story. I love rare, beautiful natural wonders. Like warm, summer rain. Huge loud thunderstorms. Thick, soft snowfall. Wind so strong you can lean against it. Some of my favourite drunk conversation topics: language & linguistics, evolution, the meaning of and our place in the universe, Disney songs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was directed here on a lovely reference from a friend a few years back, but only had the necessity for it when I started travel and was looking for a friendly home to share. Now I enjoy CS mainly because of the people, the warm community feel, and I get to join in random activities I would otherwise never know about! Nothing like being a tourist in your own city.

Interests

Music is a favourite past time, reading when I'm feeling quiet, making cakes when I should be studying, beach, snowboarding, picnics, hiking.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Hunger Games was a good trilogy, and I highly recommend the Chaos Walking trilogy. Harry Potter and Tomorrow When the War Began series were both very well written and wholly absorbing. I'm often spotted making Black Books and Family Guy references.
I'm up for listening to a bit of everything, but live concerts are hands down the best way to deliver music.
