Hey there! I' Martina, 23 years old Italian girl.
I am travelling by myself since I was 18 and I live far away from my family since 2017. I am from Torino, but I studied in a small city near Bologna. My big passion is cooking, and I'm super happy everytime I can cook for someone. I love partying but also calm days, walking around and go to art museums. My favourite artists are Dalì, Magritte and Monet. I've been a dancer and rhythmic gymnast for many many years and for a while I've been a coach for some little cutie girls. I love photography: during a trip I'm the one who always remains 100 m far away from the group because she's taking photos with 2 cameras and her phone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During the Spring Semester of 2019 I've been in Brno (Czech Republic) for my first Erasmus. It has been an incredible experience and allowed me to meet people from all around the world. This made me realize how good I feel when I'm surrounded by people from different cultures and sharing them. Then, in August I moved to Tallinn (Estonia) for my second Erasmus since middle of January 2020.
Now, I'm living in the North of France doing a European Solidarity Corps project and enjoying my French life despite the pandemic.
I travelled a lot during the past 2 years and I think couchsurfing is a great way for meeting new people and sharing experiences!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like every kind of music and I love going to concerts... I've been to so many of them and every time seems the first one!

I've ton of favourite series but i especially love: How I met your mother, The Crown, Stranger Things, Peaky Blinders... and I can give you a very good performance of each line of many Friend's episodes.

I like spending some quality personal time just by myself reading a book, even better if in the middle of nature or at the sea. One of my favourite books is "Sulphuric Acid" by Amélie Nothomb. A book that changed my life is Margherita Dolcevita by Stefano Benni, an Italian author.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I like volunteering:
I've volunteered as a peer educator for 3 years in a project by Save the Children Italia, having the opportunity to meet people from all around Italy and to discover what I want to do in my life.
As a very big rhythmic gymnastic passionate fan, I've been volunteering at 2 World Cups and one World Championship in Pesaro: probably one of the best experiences in my whole life!
Now I'm living in France doing a European voluntary service... it's such an amazing experience, not only for my passion for croissants!

Craziest experience of my life: jumping into a frozen lake in Lapland. Yes. Finlad. Yes, during winter.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn: I'm learning Spanish and Russian now, so it would be great having some native-speakers tips! Plus, I'm always in for learning some new good recipes!

Teach: I can help and teach you some Italian. And if you think words are too difficult, I can just teach you how to speak with your hands!
Plus, I can teach you how to edit a very bad photo and trasform it into an amazing IG post ;)
