ABOUT ME

I'm a 22 year old student from (east) Belgium eager to learn about other cultures. My friends often say I'm down to earth, but not quit or shy! I don't pay a lot of attention to prejudices and try to look at things through a positive pair of glasses. I should also mention I have a firm opinion about some things, but I'm always open for discussion, you'll never know what you could learn from others don't you?

Centres d'intérêt

I'm fascinated by nature or urban surroundings and like to hike or ride the bicycle. I'm vegan since 2008 and don't consume any kind of alcohol (no joke).
Nevertheless, I like to go to party's/events/shows and just have fun! Belgium is one of the best countries for festivals so I try to visit a lot of them during the summer. Besides that I also like to watch good tv series and practice some sports: snowboarding, fitness, running,swimming.. After a good sport session I like to cook a good healthy meal, vegan cuisine of course ;)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Obviously the great amount of festivals during the summers has left a great amount of good memories for me. One of the best was DOUR festival 2011. It rained for 3 days straight, everything was mud, but nobody cared and everybody just kept on having fun.
Another great thing was my "last moment" tour with a band. Some friends of mine were looking for someone to fill in on bass guitar. I learned the songs and practiced for 2 weeks, after that, I got in a van and did a Scandinavian tour, visiting and playing Sweden, Finland and Norway. Doing something like that with a bunch of friends definitely leaves a mark when it comes to good memories! So good that I decided to do my student exchange to Sweden and it was the best choice I ever made. I spent about 6 months in Linköping but tried to see as much as I can. I went to Russia, North Sweden, Estonia, Finland. This all got me thinking how great the rest of the world could be and I hope couchsurfing can be an opportunity to meet new people and see new things. Life's an adventure, and you can't know the world unless yo've seen it.
