About Me

CURRENT MISSION

get some stories that i can bore my grandchildren with in years to come

ABOUT ME

i love music most of all, both playing and listening to it. i play drums and percussion and a little bit of piano. i enjoy lots of styles of music, including jazz, hip hop, reggae/dub, afro-cuban, afro-brazilian.

obviously i love to travel, but i am particularly interested in achieving a sense of personal freedom. the possibility of spontaneity without fear of failure is my goal while travelling.

i grew up in an area called Hackney in East London and it is one of my most favorite places to be. it is full of people from all over the world and there is great music and culture all around. i have been lucky enough to travel a fair amount as a child with my parents to lots of places in Africa and Asia. my mum would work in these places and often me and my brother would go with her

I have just finished my first year at Leeds university studying Music and Philosophy

i am pretty left-wing and try to be as tolerant as i can. i am also a vegetarian but none of my friends are so i have no problem with people eating meat when i'm around.

PHILOSOPHY

would rather have a great day and then an awful day, than two average days.

be as open-minded as is possible

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Great way to travel and I love hosting interesting people.

Interests

i play alot of music especially afrobeat, afro-cuban and jazz. i am a drummer and percussionist and love studying afro-cuban and afro-brazilian styles

i suppose writing travel is a bit obvious?

recently i've been getting into growing plants for food (aka agriculture) but so far on quite a small scale.
