I´m a cabinet maker and interior designer, working on my own in my little workshop in my house. I like languages and in my life I have learned English, French, Russian, Spanish, Arabic and Italian but I have forgotten most of it.
As I am in Milano, Italy every year for the furniture fair I practise my italian a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Now that my kids are grown up and have left home I have to travel on my own.
Since I have always been interested in other cultures I think couchsurfing is a good way to meet nice people with open minds.

Interests

I love music and I`m a passionate guitar player and I started teaching rhythm guitar pro bono some years ago. I am also interested in any performing art, design, architecture, food and wine which are part of every culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music is from my youth, Rock and Pop Music from the 60ies and 70ies. As I play the guitar myself I like guitar music a lot.
I love The Beatles, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, The Eagles, The Moody Blues, Santana, Steely Dan, Traffic ecc.
I like movies and reading too. Some of my favourite movies are "Little Big Man" with a brilliant Dustin Hoffman and "Down by law" by Jim Jarmush.
Some of my all time favourite books are "Cien anos de soledad" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and "Baudolino" by Umberto Eco.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been to the desert on a horse with no name ... ;-)
I did that on a 6 weeks trip to the middle east in Egypt near the pyramids of Gizeh, then touring the Western Desert to Luxor and after relaxing on week in Sinai I spent 2 weeks in Israel´s amazing capital Jerusalem and surroundings.
