About Me
Hi everyone!
Welcome to our CS profile. We are Martin and Michael. Life has brought us to Spain and here we are, enjoying life while working as language teachers at some language academies in Murcia capital. We have lived, worked and studied in Austria, the US, Italy, Germany and Argentina. We both love travelling, living in different cities and countries and love the way travelling changes you.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
To host as many people from as many countries as possible, to get to know them and to enjoy a nice walk or a nice conversation over a drink (tea, wine, coffee, etc.)
WHAT WE ARE LIKE:
Very easy to please, not demanding at all. We live a rather frugal life, so going to expensive restaurants or pub crawls is definitely not our thing. Of course we go out for dinner sometimes but not every weekend.
WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
Untidy, selfish and self-centred individuals
I EXPECT:
To be able to meet nice people regardless of their religion, social status, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, gender and the like.
I love taking pictures, which doesn't mean I am a good photographer, though. But if you want, you can check out some of my pics here:

And if you want to read my blog, here's the address (it's only in English, though!). I started it just a few weeks ago:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW WE PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By hosting and being hosted. We are both good listeners and are open to talking about anything.
I´ve hosted people from more than 12 countries and had amazing experiences with every one of them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
=====2011=====
After my first CS-experience in Italy, I can't be more than glad to have become a member of CS. I met wonderful people and had the chance to visit incredible places not usually seen by the regular tourist. I love how locals can help you discover the real city you are visiting and not the one most tourists see.
=====2012=====
The more people I host, the more I learn about CS!
Please be aware that the kitchen I have is rather small and it can get really really messy when more than one person is cooking at the same time. What I certainly expect from you is that you help me to keep it clean and tidy. We always cook and clean up immediately afterwards. If you cook, I'll expect the same. My last two experiences (Dyann and Szymon) were simply fantastic in terms of cooperation and cleanliness, reason why I'm writing this. A big thx to you both, guys!
=====2013=====
We stayed with Miroslav in Zagreb for the end of our 45-day Croatian vacation. It was nice to hear a local's perspective of the country to end our trip.
=====2014=====
To ring in the new year, I hosted a New Year's Eve CS Party, with lots of amazing guests who brought an array of homemade dishes, drinks, and good vibes. Thanks to all who attended!
=====2015=====
Once again the New Year's Eve Party was a success and after a rather inactive year, we're looking forward to meeting new and interesting CSers this year.
=====2018=====
Arrived in Barcelona and was hosted by two amazing and super generous people.
Interests
Sports mainly and music. Jogging, reading, riding, hiking, ping pong, badminton, swimming, biking, computers, playing the piano, COOKING by all means, long walks, photography. I love dogs, I am madly in love with dogs. I have a whippet who brings a lot of joy to my life. He can't be with me right now because I am moving to another country but hope to be able to fly him to Spain in the very near future!

Music, Movies, and Books
MOVIES and TV:
I have recently been watching the series Modern Family, Nikita, and Grey's Anatomy, The Magicians, The Frozen Dead, Stranger things and the list goes on. In terms of films, I've been watching post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, comedies, and thrillers. I don't like watching dramas. They are good, I know, but I am not into that genre.
MUSIC:
Classical is by far my favourite. But I can also listen to mostly any kind of music.
OPERA:
* Die Zauberflöte / The Magic Flute
* Iphigénie en Aulide (not my favourite, but I like the ouverture)
* La Cenerentola
* Fidelio
BOOKS:
'Memoirs of a Geisha'. An EXCELLENT book.
'On the beach':
Stern Men.
The Handmaid's Tale
I know there are a couple more books on my list, it just happens that I have a bad memory for titles.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
DONE:
I swam in a 60 m deep crystal-clear water lake in the middle of the mountains.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can show you how to make Argentinian croissants (aka medialunas). I love learning new languages. They are like fuel to my heart. And I can definitely share some recipes that I love.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a good chat over a glass of wine, beer, a cocktail or whatever your favourite beverage is, water included! ;) I love unflavoured soda water.
If you like jogging, swimming, sunbathing, hiking or biking, I would be more than glad to join you in any of these activities.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Brazil, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Scotland, Slovakia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay
Countries I’ve Lived In
Argentina, Austria, Italy, Spain, United States
