About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Providing sanctuary in our sanctuary!

ABOUT ME
We are two musicians (Jacob and Adam) living in a renovated civil war era church. Now we know what you're thinking, but the place is actually in great shape and really fun! We have plenty of space to hang out and multiple sleeping options, but we usually put guests up in the music room on our throw down king-size mattress. We know a lot about our home town and are more than happy to share and help however we can.

PLEASE NOTE:
1. It is extremely rare that we can accept same day requests. The more notice the better!
2. This church has NO religious affiliation. We are accepting of whatever you may believe, and would expect the same respect, but love and music would be the only forms of worship we would encourage you to be a part of while here.
3. We have a cat - her name is Eleanor and she is a little sweetheart. If you have allergies please be aware.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Every traveler has a story! Aside from our love of travel, we are lucky to have a large, unique space that is especially great for hosting. Having hosted 100+ groups or individual surfers over the years we have made connections of all kinds, and experienced first-hand the inherent value in spending time with people from other parts of the world.

Interests

We are songwriters and performers; both of us play in bands. Jacob is an audio engineer, Adam is a voice over artist. We enjoy writing, reading, and good conversation!

Teach, Learn, Share

You can make a connection anywhere with anyone. After touring in a band, playing huge Chicago clubs and back rooms of sleezy no-wheres alike, we've seen that you can find lasting relationships in the most unlikely of places. Stay positive, remember why you're there and the inherent connections between all people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Low maintenance, good conversation, can make the most of any situation.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom
