About Me

Fully vaccinated

!!! Dear CS-Community, I am most of the time in Berlin not in Leipzig now, since I start a new job assignment. I will only be able to host Surfers around the weekends for the time being !!!

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to come around, to collect as much impressions from places around the world as possible and to meet great people from all over the world.

ABOUT ME

I live in the very nice city of Leipzig in the eastern part of Germany. I would say i am communicativ and interested in almost everything. For me a good day is a busy one, where i can achieve a lot of stuff, but of course i also enjoy the moment. People would call me a friendly, sometimes a little bit crazy person. I enjoy to meet new people and to discuss all kinds of topics with them. I like loud concerts and partys the same way than i like to enjoy a coffee in the middle of a meadow together with a good book.
My biggest addiction beside Coffee, smoking and Music is to travel. It´s such a great thing to see new places and to gain new experiences.
This way i met a lot of crazy, great and close friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe diem (and the night as well :D )

The movies i like most are " The fabolous world of Amelie " and " Everything is illuminated " .

I listen almost everything from rock and punk to electro or classical music.

Books, books, books! I try to get good books from the places i visit, so sooner or later my place might become a library :)

One day in the life of ivan denisovich - A. I. Solzhenitsyn
Watermusic - T.C. Boyle
The Physicists - Friedrich Dürrenmatt
The Royal Game (or Chess Story) - Stefan Zweig
Captain Corelli´s Mandolin - Louis De Bernieres
Alone in Berlin (or Every Man Dies Alone) - Hans Fallada
Everything is Illuminated - Jonathan Safran Foer

Steppenwolf - H. Hesse
Brave New World - A. Huxley
...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Very impressive moments for me were for example watching a storm over the italian seaside during sunset while sitting on a hill near the italian boarder in slovenia or having a crazy ride by car through breath-taking beautiful albanien mountains. Climbing into Tara Canyon just to find a side valley with a waterfall as a perfect breakfast location. Stopping for a coffee in Bosnia ending up singing songs with other costumers....

Teach, Learn, Share

Every journey, every time you talk to people you are able to teach, learn or share something. To meet people from other places is a pretty good way to open your mind, and to see that there are many points of view about the same topic which are also true.
For musicians: I have some electric guitars here, you can feel free to use it. A western guitar is available too. Now a saxophone is available too - I am in no capacity to play it though :) There's also a bunch of books in English available in the flat in case you stay some days.
Of course, I will show you around my town if you are interested whenever it is possible :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, recipes, whatever little local speciality fits into my backpack :) ...
