COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Love it. Has given me magic moments.
Interests
Too much time in front of the computer. I like to be outside. Feeling the wind in my face and the water on my skin. Preferably saltwater. I like to talk politics, literature, film and other cultural products.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love the film noir-period of Hollywood. Cirka 1940-1955. Bogart and Bacall got me started many years ago.
I love the cinematography of John Alton and directors as John Huston, Anthony Mann and Fritz Lang. And Hitchcook of course.
I like old school jazz: Mills Brothers, Andrew Sisters and Django Reinhardt especially. And I like real techno such as Armando and Hardfloor. I was once a DJ :)
I like to read, eventhough the advent of the computer in my life leaves me with less time for this leisure. I like writers such as Thomas Pynchon, Marcel Proust, Per Højholt, Flaubert.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Witnessing the births of my son and my daughter, my meeting Slavoj Zizek, quit smoking, seeing the suburbs of Kiev (In general I prefer suburbs and other borderzones from city centers).
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a professional journalist and I love to read and write. If you want critique of your manuscript, I'm your man. I also possess certain digital expertises, which I would happily share.
In the kitchen I've perfected the art of making pesto. It's REALLY good. I also bake a lot.
