About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Always think positively!!

ABOUT ME

I have just finished my 4th year at college studying mechanical engineering at Rutgers University in New Jersey. I studied abroad in Hong Kong and had the most fantastic experience that really brought out the traveler in me. I have been traveling as much as possible and feel that couchsurfing will make traveling even more fun. I have met many amazing people on my travels and through surfing believe I can do this even more.
Originally, I was born in Dusseldorf, Germany grew up there, and then moved to the United States when I was 10. Ever since I have been living in New Jersey, yet travel back to Germany every year to visit family and friends.
Traveling has always been a part of my life, and especially through studying abroad it has become one of my passions.
Local cuisine, language, culture, and people all intrigue me in which ever place I visit and I figured what best way to experience a city or town than by surfing with someone who is a local!
I am new to couchsurfing, but from everything that I have heard and read, I am very excited about all the possibilities still to come.

PHILOSOPHY

You can change your mindset in any situation to turn it into something positive or negative. I believe in having a positive experience in whatever it is you are doing and smiling as much as possible. That being said, I think it is also harder, and requires work to change your state of mind to a positive one, but it is POSSIBLE!

Interests

Food is definitely one of my greatest interests in what ever country I find my self.
I also enjoy activities such as soccer, basketball, ping pong, rock climbing, biking, hiking, meeting new people especially on travels, learning new languages, and learning about local cultures.
I am interested in fashion and style as well, especially menswear and the way that it changes throughout different countries.
Photography is another one of my hobbies, for which I have not had as much time as I would have liked in recent months, but shooting scenery and nature is definitely still one of my greatest interests.
