About Me
I'm Martin and I am a Corporate Accountant. Born and raised in Vancouver, I am your super local guide and host (at least that's what Google calls me)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting travelers and being a part of the traveling community. It's always refreshing to finding new perspectives and make new friends.
Interests
I love doing board sports and I love the outdoors. I love to surf, snowboard, and ski. Am I too old to learn how to skateboard? I just bought one!
I can be a bit of a couch potato and I love Netflix, but I'm hoping that when you take over my couch, it will help me avoid the TV.
Every Tuesday, I volunteer at the local soup kitchen and shelter. I actually help manage it. I only mention this because so many surfers have enjoyed volunteering with me, and yes, you can too.
Anything related to Space, I'm a geek.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't want to gloat, but I've once cooked Minute Rice in 56 seconds.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love food. I eat almost everyday. Sometimes I'm so engrossed in doing my Android development that I forget to eat. If you ever want a culinary adventure in Vancouver, I have a list for the best go-to places. Also, remind me to eat.
I've been know to teach a few couchsurfers how to swim.
If you are truly brave, then I will give you a haircut. Only for the brave.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm really into startups and business. If you need some help or consultation on a project, then please don't hesitate to ask. My business strategy skills are sharp as a marble.
Also, I have a really strong science background, especially in the health sciences and molecular botany.
