I read every profile through and through before I send a couch surf request, this includes the My home, and reference section, and then decide whether I think we might be a good fit, having something in common and have a good time. I've closed profiles with 'maximum number of guests: 5' because I didn't think we would be a good fit despite it giving me a high chance of having a place to stay. Every CS-host is awesome as they are opening their place to connect with others and giving them a place to stay, but not everyone is a fit for me, and neither am I a good fit for everyone. In that case it is much better to give other people the opportunity to meet each other who will have a great time together.

I Love meeting new and interesting people, whether via couch surfing, hitch hiking or somewhere else. Meeting people, hearing their stories, experiences and perspectives is every single time an enriching experience.
