ABOUT ME

I'm a journalist still clinging to a job in the newspaper industry. I love to travel and see new things whenever I get a chance, whether it be across the street or across the globe. I have traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe (studied abroad in Spain) and have also been to China, Israel, Chile and Peru, but there's so much out there that I still want to see and do.

PHILOSOPHY

My only goal in life is to die without regrets.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CouchSurfing is a great way to see the world and meet new people. I really like the idea that when you go to a new place you don't stay at a hotel and just do all the touristy stuff but you actually stay with someone who lives there and are shown the type of things the locals do. That's my idea of traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CouchSurfing experience was in Chile in September 2010, and it couldn't have gone better. I met some really great people who welcomed me into their homes and experienced many things that I couldn't have if I had stayed at a hotel or a hostel. I have since been a host to travelers passing through California's Central Valley and now would like to do the same in my new home of Cleveland, Ohio.

Intereses

I try to lead an active lifestyle. I go running three to four times a week and I'm into all kinds of sports, including soccer (which I played in high school). I'm an avid skiier, and I'm always looking for a way to hit the slopes. I like to read classic literature and watch classic movies. What else? How about drinking good beer and making new friends, and, of course, traveling.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I have seen the sun rise in some pretty incredible places, on top of Masada in Israel and on top of Haleakala in Maui, to name just the few. And I'm not even a morning person.
