About Me

Yo! I'm from Spokane, Washington, USA. I grew up half here and half in California. I have a teaching degree and certification in Social Studies and English, two areas I love to talk about! And I'm currently working as a youth pastor and music leader at my church.

Any culture different from my own (and sometimes also my own) fascinates me! I love learning and talking about things that people do and why they do them!

My last trip was to a wedding in Germany to witness some friends get married that I met while traveling in northern Vietnam. It was my first time in Europe so I spent time in London, Paris, Bremen, and Hamburg!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I learned about Couchsurfing from friends that I met while traveling; imagine that! It turned out that while in Vietnam, I met an English woman who knew a Canadian guy that I met in Haiti. They met while couchsurfing in Europe. And that pretty much summarizes why I fell in love with this whole Couchsurfing concept. Connections - relationships - friendships made while traveling abroad are ones of a unique nature that I hope to make many more of while couchsurfing the world!

Interests

I love music (listening and making), baseball, and coffee! Yes, lot's of coffee!
