To surf the waves and to play the trombone (but not necessarily at the same time)

ABOUT ME

I am a Belgian graphic designer and musician;
I like cooking, laughing, drinking, dancing, rafting, hitch-hiking and and mountain hiking.

I am addicted to music, wavesurfing and playing capoeira

I play trombone, accordeon and sing a band called Moustash (and in some other bands) check it out at www.moustash.be

There aren't many waves to surf in the north-sea. But when they come, I go. The best waves in belgium are in the wintertime, and it's hilarious to be on a beach when it's snowing and you're all wrapped up in neoprene and you run into the almost freezing water like a freaking pinguïn!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you're visiting town I can show you around, i know where to find the best coffee in the daytime and coolest bars in the night time. If you're a bunch of (street)musicians, and you let me know you're passing by, and I like your music, i can probably arrange a gig or 2 for you in some of the bars.

The best time to visit ghent is the third week of july. There is a yearly festival that lasts 10 days, and the whole city is turned into one big party with actually thousands of concerts and party's in every imagineable style, theatre plays, music shows, hundreds of street performers...

Finally if you're a (wave) surfer, and there 's some swell I have a van to take you to the seaside.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have made a huge surf trip in june 2010, visiting some friends in San Francisco first, then rentacar north in two weeks and a half to visit some friends in Seattle. Together with my traveling companion Tine, we have surfed waves almost every day and couches almost every night. The coast of North California, Oregon and Washington has a kind of overwhelming beauty, impossible to capture in words or on a camera. Big thanks to all our hosts and all the great people we've met on the way...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Made a one month tour trough France, spain and portugal with a musical street puppet theatre.
Surfed the northern part of the U.S. West coast. Surfed with seals and sea lions.

Wavesurfing: I can teach you the basics, but still have a lot to learn myself.
Graphic design: I can explain photoshop, illustrator and indesign to you. Always looking for jobs.
Music: I started as a street-musician, and I find it very very hard to teach music to someone, but I love to share songs and play together with all kinds of musicians and instruments.
Yoga: I took a course once and know some of the basic moves. Feels good.
