Hello! I'm a student at Western Michigan University, currently studying civil engineering, although I may decide to switch to computer science. I love the outdoors, rock climbing, and really any sport for fun. Other hobbies include drawing, reading, videogames, Netflix, and more. Up for trying just about anything at least once! I'm always down for an adventure. I'm second generation US born, although I'm also a citizen of Latvia, and grew up learning Latvian at a Sunday school in town.

I'm currently touring through Europe after my semester abroad! I was supposed to have a friend join me from my home town, but that didn't work out, so I'm on my own for now. I heard about this site form a friend, and decided to give it a try. It would be awesome to meet new people in the places we go rather than staying in hostels, although I'm sure I'll meet people staying in hostels as well. Mostly interested in meeting locals in the areas we are traveling in! I will host travelers once I get home from my travels!

I watch a lot of movies, so it's quite hard to pick... I'm not too picky when it comes to movies. Favorite shows include Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Rick and Morty, Adventure Time, Peaky Blinders, and many more. Favorite bands include Modest Mouse, Incubus, Rage Against the Machine, Tool, Chance the Rapper, and many many more in between (I mainly chose these to show the range of music I enjoy, but these are definitely near the top of my list).

Drove from Michigan to California with my family; visited family in Oregon, Florida, and New York; Hiked in various locations with my uncles including the Rocky Mountains; traveled to Mexico and Guatemala in my younger years through school trips (I was enrolled in a bilingual elementary school); most recently, I spent a couple months in Latvia living with my sister, then traveled across the Baltic to spend a semester in Sweden.

I'd love to learn more about sustainable farming, permaculture, and tiny house building. I'm quite handy with tools, as my father is a carpenter/handy man, and would be happy to teach/help with various projects.
