Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve got a great travel plan but no budget for fancy hotels—so Couchsurfing it is! 😂 More importantly, I love the idea of connecting with locals, sharing experiences, and exploring new places in a more authentic and meaningful way. Plus, it’s way more fun than staying in a hotel!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to a bit of everything, but I’m always simping for Polish 80’s hits like Perfect and Maanam, rap from both the US and Poland, K-pop (can’t go wrong with BTS and BLACKPINK), and epic movie soundtracks like Gladiator, Interstellar, and The Lord of the Rings.

Movies: Gladiator is hands down my all-time favorite, and I also love classic films with Matt Damon—Good Will Hunting is the best in my book. Dead Poets Society is another one that always leaves a lasting impression. Lord of the Rings is a classic.

Series: I’m a huge fan of captivating series with strong characters and intense plots. Some of my top picks include House of Cards, Juvenile Justice, The Glory, Game of Thrones, Dr. House, Sherlock, Attack on Titan, Death Note, Severance and The Walking Dead.

Books: I’m passionate about social studies, psychology, and politics, often diving into books that explore these topics. Haruki Murakami is one of my favorite authors for fiction, but I also love reading deep, thought-provoking non-fiction that makes me question the world around me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I’ve done is hike to the summit of Rysy in Poland, the highest peak in the country. Reaching the top and watching the stunning views of the Tatra Mountains was an unforgettable experience. Standing above the clouds made me feel both humbled and inspired by the beauty and vastness of nature.

I can teach you some basic Polish phrases and help you dive into the essentials of Polish language. I’d love to share some traditional Polish cuisine—maybe even cook a dish or two for you! And if you’re interested, I can introduce you to some iconic Polish music and other genres I’m passionate about. Always happy to share what I know!

I can offer good conversation, stories from my travels, and a genuine curiosity to learn about your culture and experiences. If you’re into music, I can introduce you to some cool Polish 80’s hits or K-pop jams. I’m also happy to help out around the house or cook a simple meal!
