I'm an English-Polish translator - a job that gives me a lot of satisfaction, since thanks to it I learn new things every day. In my free time I learn (yes, 'learning' is the key word!) drawing and painting, with hope of becoming an illustrator. Another thing that I dedicate my time to is *learning* programming in Python which I just started and nobody knows what the outcome will be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm totally new to Couchsurfing, but for all the good opinions and experiences told by my friends I really hope it will add an extra adventure factor to all my journeys from now on :)

When I travel, I want to try everything that the new place can offer: views, tastes, language, people, music... I love the purity of nature, the charm of small towns, the vibe of big cities.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies&Books - It's hard to say, as there are so many favourite ones! I like those that stay with you even long time after finishing them.. I could list Trier, Kieslowski, Tarkovsky as fav directors, Studio Ghibli and Gainax for animations, Camus, Dostoyevsky and Kafka as favourite writers, and Munch and Degas as fav painters but it still won't be enough.
Music - I like different genres, from classical to prog rock, depending on the mood, but definitely the top bands for me are: Pink Floyd, Marillion, King Crimson, Van der Graaf Generator.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Placed a tent on a supermarket's parking lot in France, after hours of searching for a camping site, when coming back from a motorcycle trip to Morocco. Yeah, definitely an act of desperation. Not sure I've grown up since then...
