Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm originally from Los Angeles, but I've spent the last seven years living all over the place (Navajo Nation, Lima, Guadalajara, Mexico City, New York City, Boston, San Francisco, and San Diego). Moving around has been great, but it also makes making (and maintaining) friendships a bit difficult. It'd be nice to meet some folks with similar hobbies who want to meet up and, perhaps, go on a road trip or swap traveling stories.

I have a serious case of FOMO, but in general, I'd like to be more active. Always down for a hike or a beach trip!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a night hike in the Amazonian rainforest. With just one flashlight, our guide took us into the jungle and told us stories about local flora and fauna. The sounds were beautiful, the sights unreal, and the experience absolutely stunning. At one point, he had us stay silent for a minute to soak it all in. After, he shut off the flash light for another minute; we found new critters lurking once he turned it back on.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a huge plant dad, so if you'd like someone to help out in the garden (or with your indoor plants), I'd be happy to do some repotting and watering together. I also love to cook and would be happy to share a meal. Oh, and I LOVE postcards, so you'd likely receive many from me in the future.
