My name is Krittin (But we Thai have their own nicknames so please call me "Boat" (don't ask about any reasons lol maybe it's some kind of tradition for this country) from Khon Kaen (one of the largest cities in northeastern part, close to Laos not next to), Thailand. Currently studying economics in Osaka University with scholarship provided by Japanese government. Have lived in Japan for 5 years. I graduated in 2018.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to know other people from various cultural backgrounds. Learning new things and perspectives makes me feel more intelligent and not to be naive. It helps you mingle with others, it broadens your mind and it is superbly amusing :) Having friends across the world is one of the coolest thing you should do in your life :)

Interests

Singing o_O Traveling and backpacking especially places I've never been LoL. I love watching movies and listening to music. Cooking is also my favourite activity. (You can request me if you want LoL but I don't guarantee the tastes)

Music, Movies, and Books

Pop music. I also love oldies stuff, Jazz, Blues, RnB, Alternatives and various types which I can't put them into specific groups LoL
I have lots of favourite artists: Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Adele, Maroon 5, Coldplay, Jessie J, OneRepublic, Little Mix, Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes, Zara Larsson blablabla... (I know those cheesy pop music but admit it that it's super addicted!) Frank Sinatra, Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars
For movies I watch various kinds of movies but I'm a big fan of superheroes movies and action movies. (Like Marvel). I also like reading young adult novels like paper town and some kind of crime novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being a national champion of singing Thai poems! (slightly different from 'regular' Singing) I know it sounds weird competition. But i'm so proud of it!

Solo backpacking :). Many travelers usually don't consider this as weird action. But it's totally bizarre in Asian culture. I'm so lucky that I was trusted by my parents and allowed to face lots of unexpected experiences in various places. (Maybe because I started studying abroad abrubtly after high school so they think of me as one grown adult) I've traveled to Seoul and Phuket last two years , other main tourism spots in Thailand (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui) (Updated; just finished backpacking trip across Europe (UK, France, Italy), Cambodia, Hong Kong and Macau) and also tons of places in Japan. That changed myself to be more open-minded and adventurous person. It's the first step to become mature and create sensible attitude in the neat future.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share experiences and cultures both Japanese and Thai deeply as a scholar. I can speak 3 languages (quite fluently?) as Japanese, English and Thai. I'm eager to learn new perspectives from people around the world and also different cultured I've never experienced. I can give you advice about living,tourism places and what you should eat and experience while visiting Japan and Thailand (and also a little bit of SE Asia).
