Hi! I'm Marvin, 27 years old, acting student from Bern.

I love traveling, especially exploring parts of cities that aren't too touristy, though lately I have also been finding myself hiking in the mountains a lot.

When I'm not traveling, University takes up most of my time, but I always make sure to spend enough time outside of the library going partying with friends or just meeting people in parks and cafes. I can't stand being inside for too long though I've also spent several evenings on my couch just reading or listening to music.

Besides theatre, music plays a big role in my life. I've played the saxophone for several years and try to visit many concerts throughout the year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling, but got kind of sick of hostels. I want to meet locals, who really know the cities they're living in, and I want to spend an awesome time with them. Traveling on your own can be tiring after you've done it a couple of times.

Interests

MUSIC!!! Pretty much everything from Metal Rock to Swing, but mostly Alternative and singer/songwriter stuff (Damien Rice, Bon Iver, Ed Sheeran, Daughter...). I've been playing the saxophone for several years, but took a break a couple of years ago, because I wanted to concentrate more on acting.

Other than that, I like to travel (of course), great conversations, hiking, swimming and pretty much anything as long as I've got interesting and fun people around me.
I'm also someone, who enjoys silence from time to time. Finding someone, you can enjoy being silent together, is not easy, but totally worth it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Canada a couple of years ago, I went to a whale station where they investigated the number of humpback whales and orcas in the region. We camped outside, had great food, and whenever we saw a blow nearby we would go out on the sea on a small boat and spmetimes these huge beautiful creatures would appear right next to us. It was breathtaking to be so close to nature.
