Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Marvin. I grew up in Flagstaff, AZ and I wanted to explore the west after school was done and so I found a job that would allow me to do just that. I got a job working for the National Park Service as a maintenance worker. I lived in Utah, Oregon, California, Arizona and Colorado doing my federal employee thing, gaining skills and enjoying the natural wonders. I love camping, hiking, road trips, live music, exploring cultural and historical sites, and just being curious about new places and people. I am also Indigenous, with a Navajo mother and a Hopi/Tewa father, so I have some deep roots in the American Southwest.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that there are great opportunities for exchanges, both cultural and otherwise, when people are genuine in their hospitality and openness to others. I have made great, lasting friendships with people I've just randomly met in my travels. I am hopeful to meet others who share this sentiment and pass on the goodwill. It would be cool to share stories, share some laughs and share any advice on the surrounding areas with any travelers/hosts.
