Hello

I'm Maria (25) and I am travelling around New Zealand with my partner Lewis (26).
Lewis is a Photographer and I am a Textile Designer/Knitting Operative, We are both from England and have travelled all over this beautiful country by bus.
We enjoy travelling and meeting new people.

We love spending our time at galleries and seeing new art, Also going to gigs and festivals.
I love to go walking and exploring I am usually always drawing as I'm always inspired by nature and my partner is a passionate photographer and loves skateboarding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have just arrived in Christchurch after working in Clarence and Kaikoura as Traffic Controllers for two months. America is our next adventure and Christchurch is our last stop for exploring NZ.

We are new to Couchsurfing but have experience in house sitting, we love to meet new people, create new experiences and just generally seeing things that we would of never been able to without the coach surfing, as hostels feel separate to the real culture.

One amazing thing we've done would be just being out here, quitting our jobs and selling all of our belongings to come out here across the world and travel around seeing this beautiful world.
