About Me

Hey there! I’m Mari, a 26-year-old with a deep passion for travel, new experiences, and immersing myself in different cultures. I love meeting new people and diving into adventures wherever life takes me!

I have a background in Piano Performance and Special Education, so music isn’t just a passion—it’s my career. I currently work as an accompanist pianist and perform in a music trio with two wonderful friends. (Go and take a look @Sambratrio ;)

While much of my academic year is spent practicing and studying, I always make time to get outdoors and explore. I love hiking, cycling, having deep conversations, watching great films, and of course, enjoying a good party whenever I can!

I’m also a bit of a sports addict—I dabble in just about everything, but right now, I’m focused on training for a triathlon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because it’s an incredible way to connect with people from all over the world and share unique experiences. I love the idea of arriving in a new place and immediately having someone local to chat with, exchange stories, and gain new perspectives. It’s a great way to make travel more meaningful and personal!

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music—and culture in general—is very eclectic. I enjoy everything from classical music and flamenco to jazz, R&B, and Latin. One of my greatest pleasures in life is discovering new music that resonates with me.

As for books, I’ve read so many, if i'd had to choose one it'll be One Hundred Years of Solitude, no doubt.

When it comes to films, I have a pretty selective taste—not every movie is for me. One that recently touched my heart is Le Otto Montagne.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Figuring out life (that I wish ahhaahh)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing my passion for music and sports, so if you’re into piano or just want to go for a 4 days hike in the high mountains, I’d be happy to teach you some piano or going into the wild!

In return, I’m eager to learn about your culture and favorite local spots. I believe everyone has something unique to share, whether it’s a recipe, a fun story, or a different perspective on life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’d love to bring good vibes and positive energy to your space! I can offer some music if you have a piano or keyboard around, or we can simply enjoy great conversations over a meal or drink. If you’re into sports or outdoor activities, I’m always up for a run, bike ride, or a hike!

I’m happy to help out with small tasks, share stories from my travels, or even cook a dish from my country. Most importantly, I can offer genuine friendship and a good time!
