ABOUT ME

Mallory and Mary are recent migrants to Bowser having lived in the interior of British Columbia, Williams Lake, for 34 years. Mary always had a desire to live close to the sea, the mountains and the forest. In Bowser she found it all. They also found the 40' shop needed to house their home based business a small felt-puck factory. Our young friends describe as hippies in our twilight years.

PHILOSOPHY

We must work on building community. Take care of each other; be there for each other. We are all part of the planet. The philosophy of "every man for himself" and "acquire money at all costs" is destroying our world and our planet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

With encouragement from our son we decided to start hosting surfers. He forwarded us a few of his favorite surfers and they were great guests and a delight to spend time with. We hope this trend continues.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Neither of us has surfed but we may try it out on our next adventure. We hosted a great Swedish couple and 2 other surfers our son sent our way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my 20's I traveled full circle around the world, I am hoping there is more traveling in my future. We are working towards becoming food self-sufficient which has been a large challenge so far. We are very proud of the 2 passionate young men we helped raise.

I have battled my whole life against a seemingly uncompassionate system, I am hoping that with energies we can begin to empathize and help each other.
