I am Maria, an Fine Art Student to become a teacher.
I am born and raised in Berlin. I love to feel alive! Outdoor actions, like hiking, cycle, windsurfing, ice-scating, horse riding, swimming, diving, paragliding and many things more!
On the other hand I enjoy being mindful. Mediation, Yoga and non violent communication are things I like to practice everyday.
Being creative is another thing I am passionate about.
I love to draw, paint, photograph, explore, party, meditate, yoga, and have good conversations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been in Finland for a week now and I feel very welcomed here. I would like to see more of finnish culture and nature! So during the winter holidays I try to figure out the best way to explore Finland. That`s why I would like to meet people via couchsurfing - to learn, inspire and become friends!
I am seeking some quietness and nature. One thing that makes me really excited are hiking, being close to animals and seeing the northern lights.

Interests

My current studying brought me here: to become a teacher in Germany ( I study fine arts and German literature), we have to do an internship in a school and because I love to travel, I decided to leave Germany.
Luckily enough I got an internship in a school in Kuopio. The reason why I am here is the good school system of Finland. I really like to learn from the teachers, headmasters and students how to become a good teacher.
Furthermore I am convinced that the moral settings here are an important key.
