About Me
hi, nice to meet you! my name is mary and i’m currently spending some time in iraq and turkey and am looking to meet people along the way and would also be very thankful if anyone would like to host me or show me around. currently i'm working and researching at the intersection of art, ecology and society. i’m passionate about fermentation, movement, music and acrobatics and am most happy when i can share those passions with others. for the time i’m not based anywhere but most frequently found in either vienna, istanbul or the netherlands.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
i’ve been on couchsurfing for many years and have been surprised and grateful about the interesting connections that have developed by hosting and being hosted by people around the world. i think it’s a beautiful concept of sharing that offers experiences that you don’t usually come by on both sides.
Interests
making music, harmonizing, going on walks and bike trips, experiencing and sharing good food. i’m a passionate baker and am into all sorts of other types of fermentation as well. also very into the contemporary circus world, acrobatics, slacklining, languages and film.

Teach, Learn, Share
i have experience in teaching english and german as well as partner acrobatics and acroyoga, my secret skill is tricking people into learning how to juggle but i can’t juggle myself properly ;) trying to learn arabic so happy for any help along the way!
