About Me
ABOUT ME
What to tell. I'm an adventurous person who can't seem to quit travelling. I'm always looking for new adventures, seeing new things, experiencing new cultures and learning about the world. I'm an avid motorcyclist and have recently blended the two passions together on international moto trips with a group of badass women. My most recent trip was to Egypt to dive in the Red Sea and sail down the Nile. The next trip in the works will be a moto trip through Spain and Portugal with a cycle tour hopefully from France to the Netherlands. Wish me luck!
WORK
I work as a Primary Care Paramedic (A-EMT) in British Columbia, Canada, and occasionally teach the paramedic program. I spent many years working as a Wildland Firefighter with Alberta Wildfire and BC Wildfire, and I'm finally transitioning away from this to pursue a Master's in Disaster and Emergency Management. The goal is to work for an international NGO, responding to and supporting disaster management overseas.
PHILOSOPHY
I've learned that life is far too short to pass up the dreams we desire. Although they may be unconventional, albeit risky, these adventures have shaped who I am and how I perceive the world. I never want to stop learning, nor do I want to be on my deathbed regretting the things I had the power to change. I've seen it one too many times. So here I am!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately, I do not currently have a place of my own, but I hope to give back to this community in the future and support people who have supported me in my adventures.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had an amazing time couch surfing throughout Chile and Brazil for World Cup! It was a big highlight of my trip.
Interests
Life has been busy lately. My hobbies have shifted slightly to accommodate my busy schedule and lifestyle. I love playing board games with my partner and friends, practicing my languages, mountain biking, and playing with my chaotic cats. I love riding my motorcycle, but I'm currently working on some repairs. I run when I can, and I've been learning how to play the bagpipes to my roommates' dismay. When I can, I love learning and trying new things!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I'm happy with most music; however, I lean towards Classic Rock, old country, 80s/90s, and classical. You can throw in some bagpipes too!
Movies - I rarely have time these days for movies, but some of my all-time favourites include: Spirited Away, The Sandlot, Gladiator, Furry, and Code 3.
TV-Shows - Band of Brothers, Attack on Titan, Masters of the Sky, Task Master, One Piece, Ken Burns - War on Film, etc.
Reading - Three Day Road, And Then There Were None, The Book Thief, Death on the Nile, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was younger, I dropped everything in 3 days and flew to Brazil for the World Cup. All I had was my bag, a map and a flight home 40 days later, 500km away. It was one of the most incredible and exhilarating trips I've ever taken.
