I'm Mary!

Grew up overseas, (parents from Pittsburgh and Indiana) and moved to Chicago in 2001.

I moved to Los Angeles to work in the film industry in casting.

I love the PNW and try to visit each year.

I'm easy going. I enjoy reading and spending time outside. I'm a big people person and love learning about others.

One of my favorite things to do is go to buildings that have existed since the 1900's and see what they look like now. I love learning about this history of the place I'm in

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used it last summer when I traveled from CA to WA to Woof on a farm for about a month and loved it. I love the bonding and friendships you can create over a short amount of time.

I am traveling to WA for a wedding but would discover things/history I didn't know
(one of my favorite books is Skid Road about the history of Seattle)

I'm a big volunteer and spend time with performance spaces and helping the unhoused. I'd be happy to share things I've learned. I also started getting into learning how to be low-waste and can share some tips on that.

I love to learn about people. I think that's what inspired me to get into casting. I love learning about what brought people to where they are today.

I know this isn't too fun but if you'd like to know how someone is cast in a show or movie I have the insider information

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a very clean person and enjoy organizing. I make a really good chickpea kale soup! I'm happy to help out with any tasks that need done.
