About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Continue enjoying the company of diverse and spectacular people.

ABOUT ME

I was the "shy smart girl" growing up. College broke me out of my shell. I've had the great experience of a variety of jobs, teaching chess to elementary kids, catering, potato sorting (proof I grew up in Idaho), cashiering, stir fry (I can cook it good, ya), caring for adults and children with developmental disabilities, activities leader at an elderly facility, substitute teaching for the both the rambunctious and dutiful students, data entry and most recently graphic & web design (and development). That's what my degree is in, and I love it. I have a passport, but haven't put a stamp in it yet, totally on the goal list (trying not to be cliche here)! Seven years ago, I served a mission in the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After returning to Idaho for awhile, I've come back to this quirky and exciting place to live.

PHILOSOPHY

I've met people in their 80s that still complain about their life growing up as a child, and others still struggle with shortcomings and heartbreak from their younger years. It's understandable to have a mountain to climb over, but I just want to live with my past in my past! I am responsible for my choices now: to care for others, to serve, and to ensure I'm healthy enough to keep helping others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm definitely not knew to couchsurfing, but am new to connecting online versus using connections I already have. I was nervous at first, but people seem genuinely awesome here.

Music, Movies, and Books

Les Miserables. Michael Crichton. The Little Prince. Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I believe people reach the peak of their personality in the octogenarian stage...pretty much, old people are hilarious. By the time we're 70 or so, we've lived life; we know what we like; we know what we don't; and inhibitions: those are gone.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love that when getting to know someone so seemingly different than myself, I can find the most awesome and unique qualities in them.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In
