I'm a quiet, introverted, but friendly individual who likes to travel, experience new things, and make close friends! I love animals and befriending dogs whenever possible. I'm also not good at talking about myself when it comes to writing profiles...so bear with me!

Currently, I work in Shanghai teaching color guard. My budget is tight, but I want to share and pay it forward when possible as others have generously done for me. I don't always know how to reciprocate (gift giving is a stressful social interaction and generosity is a gift to be returned), but I will always find some way to show my thanks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Most of my travel has been hostel-style, which I do enjoy, but now I'm looking to meet people more one -on-one that fits my shy social abilities better, while also getting a new take on the world. I have a hard time meeting people in large groups and would love to connect with people more when I travel while learning about their cultures and lifestyles.

Music:
Classical to Classic Rock, Hard Rock to Alternative, Metal to World, Electronica to Folk, Soundtrack to Indie. There's a lot of music out there, and I like to listen to just about everything!
Movies:
Studio Ghibli anything, Disney, Interstellar, Under the Skin, Lucy, just to start. But I like to see foreign films, action, adventure, fantasy, sci-fi, drama. I'm open to a lot!
TV:
I don't watch a lot of television unless I can stream it online for binge watching. Most recently, I've been catching up on Doctor Who & Downton Abbey. But I also like a lot of fantasy HBO series, crime series and more.
Books:
HARRY POTTER 'til death do I part (but really, in the afterlife too). But also Lord of the Rings trilogy, Hunger Games trilogy, Graceling trilogy, Fever series, and more. I love and adore books. I have many I want to read but have yet to and many to discover. I particularly like travel literature, fantasy, crime/mystery, and fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life is amazing. But backpacking in the mountains to camp and hike around alpine lakes is particularly amazing.
