Présentation
À propos de moi
Hi :) so my name is Maryam, I'm a french solo traveller. I spent the past two years exploring eastern Europe, Egypt, spent 2 months in Turkey, lived 3 months in Madrid, crossed the Atlantic ocean, discovered beautiful Colombia and lived 4 months in Medellin. Then I came back to Europe and settled in Bucharest for 6 months. A lot of fun and adventures hahaha
Now I am moving again, exploring Colombia for the second time :)
About myself, I am a quite easy going person, I love talking and always try to see things in a positive way. I am quite adventurous and spontaneous, and I like to improvise, but I also have my quiet moments.
I come from a mix family, as my mother is from a french Caribbean island and my father is Tunisian, so I have always been exposed to different cultures. Maybe that's part of the reasons why I love travelling and discovering new cultures that much :)
Looking forward to meeting you ;)

Centres d'intérêt
I am curious and interested in world history, and I also really like sport ! (My favorites would be climbing, swimming and boxing). I am an outdoor person, and love being outside exploring the city or hiking in the nature:) I also very much enjoy good talks over a drink, nice evenings playing cards with friends, as well as partying and dancing all night long in clubs ! (Right now, I am on a mission to improve my salsa skills hahaha)

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I like reading, and my favourite authors are Hermann Hesse and Nicolas Bouvier.
I have very eclectic tastes on music, but if I had to pick a few that would be Supertramp, Bob Marley, Buena Vista Social Club, French79, Lous and the Yakuza, Woodkid, Stromae, Charlotte de Witte, Therapie Taxi (all are very different I know xD)
I am very easy going about movies, but if I had to name a few of them I would say Life is a miracle (and Emir Kusturica films in general), Fight club, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Eat Pray Love, Into the wild. I also love all Miyazaki movies ! And Star Trek :D
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I have a few :p but one would be : when I was in Nepal, I was working in rice fields in the mountain, with my host family. One time we stayed a bit too late and the night came while we were still on the field, quite far from the house. Then, out of the sudden we heard an animal roaring. Turned out it was a leopard ! So we grabbed our tools quickly and ran home, half climbing, half jumping on the rocks, with the flashlight of our phones to try to light the way. It was a very scary moment, but when we reached home and the adrenaline started to go down, we laughed for 15 mins XD
And during the night the leopard killed 2 of our goats ... :/
